UKPROCURE WINS FRAMEWORK CONTRACT WITH NHS SHARED BUSINESS SERVICES AND HAMPSHIRE TRUSTS

At the end of 2007 NHS Shared Business Services signed a contract with UKprocure Systems to provide eMarketplace services to the NHS for Hampshire. The Trusts covered are:

* Southampton University Hospital NHS Trust
* Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust
* Winchester & Eastleigh Healthcare NHS Trust
* Hampshire PCT
* Isle of Wight NHS PCT
* Portsmouth City PCT
* Southampton City PCT
* Hampshire Partnership Trust

Martin Band, CEO of UKprocure Systems said: "We are delighted to announce this agreement with SBS. It provides a contractual framework for UKprocure Systems and the Trusts of SBS to work together, and initially provides UKprocure Systems services to the majority of Hampshire. UKprocure Systems now provides eMarketplace services to the majority of the SBS Trusts which have the latest eProcurement systems.

With strong progress of both buyers and supplier adoption over the past nine months, the UKprocure Systems NHS eMarketplace is moving strongly ahead."

UKprocure Systems eMarketplace supports the entire Procure to Pay round trip, including catalogues (supplier and buyer managed), electronic Purchase Orders and electronic Invoices. Benefits include better control of spend, increased invoice match rate, greater use of the formal PO process, faster order delivery, more accurate orders, greater user satisfaction, quicker and easier rollout of eProcurement systems, and administration cost savings. There are now 35 NHS Trusts using UKprocure Systems, with thousands of suppliers and 2.4 million priced items and growing daily.
