UKprocure Systems appoints experienced eCommerce Business Driver as new Chief Executive Officer

Stephen has over 25 years experience in eCommerce. Stephen founded Clarinet in 1986 which specialised in very large databases for Financial and Health publishers in the UK, Europe and USA. Stephen has built a portfolio of eCommerce companies with clients including Microsoft, Sony, Airbus and Rolls Royce in the industrial sector, to Shell, BP, British Gas and Chevron Texaco in the oil sector, to Glaxo, Merk, Serono, and Dainippon in the Health sector. Core technologies owned by Clarinet have been applied to each of these sectors to achieve economies of scale.

When considering the purchase of UKprocure, Stephen could see economies of scale with sharing data centres, 24 Hour Help Desk and support, Oracle 8i expertise, eCommerce platforms for card processing and access to a very experienced software development team.

“The NHS and other public sector organisations have an enormous opportunity to work with their suppliers more efficiently,” says Stephen. “UKprocure Systems plays a key role in helping organisations achieve better value, which can be reinvested in front-line services. My key objective is to ensure that our customers are successful in achieving the requirements of the efficiency agenda.”
